Increased staffing
The creation of a new district will increase the number of paid-staff on duty during the day that supports a volunteer crew for night responses.
Provides Long-Term Sustainability
A new district and tax rate would bring in $2.46 million annually. This funding will provide reliable gear and apparatus for years to come.
Unified training
A crew of firefighters receiving a standard set of trainings will increase efficiency for the district at large.

I support the proposal for a ballot measure for new Tillamook Bay Fire District as it looks at the long-term sustainability of emergency and fire response to our communities...We heavily rely on volunteers to respond to emergencies, and we need full-time staff to provide support for volunteers, training, documentation, turnouts, and administration support.
Bay City Volunteer Firefighters Association
The Bay City Volunteer Firefighter Association supports the measure to create the Tillamook Bay Fire and Rescue Rural Fire Protection District.
As call volumes and service demands increase additional staffing and unified operation are essential to maintaining safe and reliable response times.
This measure would strengthen coordination, enhance training, and provide increased staffing support for volunteers. It will reinforce and sustain the volunteer service model while improving overall public safety.
